Topic: The lecture will focus on basic concepts of Clinical Decision Support System(CDSS),as well as the future developments of CDSS and will discuss applications of those concepts and algorithms in heathcare, specifically in the domain of pathology.

Dr.Qian has a broad educational and professional background both in Informatics and Medicine. He received a Master Degree of Medical Informatics in University of California at Davis and PhD degree in Medical Informatics at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He was ever a clinical doctor in China and currently a certified MD in Pathology and Lab Medicine in the U.S.

Presenter: Peking University Center for Medical Informatics

A newly established center dedicated to teaching, research and serving Medical Informatics as an independent scientific discipline. As part of the efforts the center is planning to launch a series of lectures titled as “New Discipline、New Knowledge、New Technologies and New Perspective Series” by inviting famous foreign and/or domestic Medical Informatics related experts and professors in order to educate and promote Medical Informatics around campus and even in the country. The language of the lectures will be mainly English.
