报告内容提要
Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is a potentially life-saving therapy for many patients with otherwise incurable disease. However transplant related complications, including acute and chronic graft-vs-host disease, organ toxicity, opportunistic infection, and leukemia relapse, with significant morbidity and mortality consequence. The post-HCT complications that are the subject of this study have been the focus of numerous clinical trials over the years aimed at improving HCT outcome. These disease phenotypes have also proven to be informative model systems for the broader medical community. In this presentation, I will present some of preliminary results, from an ongoing genomewide association study (GWAS) of HCT, while touching upon several informatics issues (from biostatistics, bioinformatics, and medical informatics). This presentation is prepared for researchers and graduate students who are from diverse background.
