北京大学医学部功能神经外科研究中心

北京大学人民医院神经外科在功能神经外科疾病的诊治和研究领域处于国内领先水平,经过几年的积累与凝练,在医学部和医院领导的支持下,在相关专家的共同努力下,“北京大学医学部功能神经外科研究中心”于2019年6月成立。中心依托北京大学人民医院,联合校本部、医学部及附属医院等多家单位,紧密围绕国家“脑计划”战略目标,借助北京大学强大的科研平台和多学科合作优势,致力于提高我国功能神经外科疾病的临床、基础和转化医学研究。
研究领域:主要研究功能神经外科疾病包括运动障碍性疾病、颅神经疾病、癫痫、疼痛、精神外科疾病、痴呆、植物人唤醒、脑瘫等。通过建立各个病种临床资料数据库,进行大样本的临床、基础和转化医学研究。涵盖医学物理、微电子学与生物医学、神经生物学、神经解剖学、神经影像学、疼痛医学、神经电生理学、神经内科学、儿科学等多个临床、基础学科。
研究方向包括:1. 颅神经疾病及神经源性高血压的机制研究及个体化治疗研究;2. 疼痛的病因学及神经调控机制研究;3. 癫痫外科治疗的评估及个体化治疗研究;4. 功能神经外科疾病神经调控的机制及相关设备研发;5. 干细胞移植对脑功能性疾病治疗的基础及临床研究。
北京大学医学部功能神经外科研究中心集北京大学人民医院、北大信息科学技术学院、北大前沿交叉学科研究院、北大基础医学院、北大第六医院、北大第三医院等多个临床、基础团队的优秀专家,汇集北京大学基础学科和临床医学的优势资源,多学科整合,跨专业合作,优势互补。
中心团队实力雄厚,学术委员会主任为赵继宗院士、周良辅院士,中心主任为刘如恩教授,副主任为万有教授、秦炯教授、张俊教授、邓敏教授;中心研究人员承担了大量的国家及省部级重大科研任务,其中包括多项973项目、脑科学与类脑研究北方科学中心项目子项目、国家自然科学基金项目、北京市自然科学基金重大项目、北大种子交叉基金、各类人才项目等。
刘如恩教授团队经过多年的临床、科学研究,对显微血管减压术切口设计及手术理念进行了改良,显著提高了手术有效率,降低了手术并发症,节约了医疗资源,提升了医疗质量,帮助国内近200家医院开展了此类手术。
中心多位专家长期致力于脑科学、脑功能、脑网络、脑认知、脑代谢等方面的基础与临床研究,初步阐明了睡眠脑功能的相关机制;构建了中国人脑语言精细动态功能图谱;探讨了多模态脑影像数据采集规范与自动分析技术在脑认知与脑医学中的应用;总结了脑血流灌注和脑氧代谢功能磁共振成像的定量研究;阐述了慢性痛发生发展的大脑痛矩阵动态脑功能网络及其特征。

Functional Neurosurgery Center, Peking University Health Science Center
Neurosurgery Department of Peking University People's Hospital plays a leading role in the fields of diagnosis, treatment and scientific research for functional neurosurgical diseases in China. Functional Neurosurgery Research Center, Peking University Health Science Center was founded in 2019, with the joint efforts of relevant leaders and experts after several years of preparations. The center will take advantage of advanced scientific research platform and multi-disciplinary cooperation, and dedicate to improving the level of clinical medicine, basic medicine and translational medicine of functional neurosurgical diseases in China, which is attached to Peking University People's Hospital and cooperates with other affiliated hospitals and closely centers on strategic goals of Brain Science and Brain-Like Intelligence Technology.
Research fields: It mainly studies functional neurosurgical diseases, such as movement disorders, cranial nerve diseases, epilepsy, pain, psychosurgical diseases, dementia, vegetable awakening, cerebral palsy, etc. Through the establishment of clinical database of various diseases, it launches a large number of sample researches involving clinical, basic and translational medicine. It covers many clinical and basic disciplines such as medical physics, microelectronics and biomedicine, neurobiology, neuroanatomy, neuroimaging, pain medicine, neuroelectrophysiology, neurology, pediatrics and etc.
Research topics: 1. the mechanisms and individualized treatments of cranial nerve diseases and neurogenic hypertension; 2. the etiology and neuroregulation mechanism on pain; 3. the evaluation and individualized treatment of surgical treatment on epilepsy; 4. the mechanism of neuroregulation of functional neurosurgery diseases and the research and development of related equipment; 5. the basis and clinical application of stem cell transplantation in the treatment of brain functional diseases.
The research teams include many distinguished clinicians and basic researchers, from Peking University People's Hospital, Peking University School of Electronic and Computer Science, Peking University Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Peking University School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Sixth Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital, etc. It brings together the advantages and resources of the basic and clinical medicine of Beijing University, the multi-subject integration, the cross-professional cooperation and the complementary advantages.
The research teams are strong in basic and clinical studies. The directors of the academic committee are two academicians, Prof. Zhao Jizong and Prof. Zhou Liangfu. The director of the center is Prof. Liu Ruen, and the deputy directors are Prof. Wan you, Prof. Qin Jiong, Prof. Zhang Jun and Prof. Deng Min. The researchers have undertaken a large number of national and provincial major scientific research projects, including ‘973’ Projects, Northern Center sub-projects of Brain Science and Brain-Like Intelligence Technology, projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major projects of Beijing Natural Science Foundation, interdisciplinary seeded fund of Peking University, and etc.
Through many years of clinical and scientific research, Prof. Liu Ruen's team have ameliorated the incision design and operation concept of microvascular decompression, significantly improved the cure rate, reduced the incidence rate of complications, saved medical resources, prompted the medical quality, and helped nearly 200 hospitals in China to carry out MVD operations.
Many experts of the center have been striving to the basic and clinical research of brain science, brain function, brain network, brain cognition and brain metabolism, preliminarily clarified the relevant mechanism of sleep brain function, constructed the brain language fine dynamic functional map of China, probed the application of multimodal brain image data acquisition rules and automatic analysis technology in brain cognition and brain medicine, and summarized the quantitative study of brain flow perfusion and oxygen metabolism functional magnetic resonance imaging, and described the matrix dynamic brain function network of brain pain and its characteristics in the development of chronic pain.
