慢性气道疾病主要包括慢性阻塞性肺疾病（慢阻肺）、哮喘、支气管扩张症等，属于我国的重大慢性疾病。为充分发挥北大医学的临床和基础研究资源优势，推动慢性气道疾病研究工作，由北京大学第三医院呼吸与危重症医学科牵头，联合医学部附属医院、共建医院、教学医院、基础医学院和公共卫生学院，于2022年成立慢性气道疾病研究中心，孙永昌为中心主任，王广发、高占成、陈亚红为中心副主任。

研究中心聚焦慢阻肺、哮喘、支气管扩张症等常见慢性气道疾病的临床诊治与科研攻关，临床研究、基础研究和转化研究紧密结合。主要研究方向包括慢性气道疾病发病机制和表型特征及转化研究、医工结合构建新型慢性气道疾病促防诊控治康体系、慢性气道疾病介入诊断与治疗新技术的研发与推广应用、慢性气道疾病病原学诊断技术开发与推广应用。研究中心致力于拓展呼吸病研究领域的深度和宽度，推动呼吸学科的临床与研究水平的提升，促进成果转化，由大学科向强学科发展。

研究中心挂靠单位北京大学第三医院呼吸与危重症医学科一直以慢性气道疾病为学科主攻方向，在国内处于领先地位。先后承担“十五”~“十三五”慢阻肺科技支撑项目、卫生公益行业专项；组织开展了多项针对慢阻肺的全国多中心研究；主持/牵头制订国内多项慢阻肺指南和诊疗规范。新冠病毒流行期间，获得了中华预防医学会疫情防控团体标准《新冠肺炎防控期间慢性阻塞性肺疾病的管理标准》立项。历任中华医学会呼吸病学分会慢阻肺学组组长、副组长单位，肺功能学组副组长、中国基层呼吸疾病联盟副主席、北京市慢阻肺联盟组长单位。

北京大学第一医院和北京大学人民医院是主要成员单位，承担多项慢性气道疾病国家级和省部级科研项目，在慢性气道疾病的发病机制、生物标志物、疾病管理、患者教育等领域的研究水平位于国内前列。北京大学基础医学院免疫学系、医学生物信息学系，公共卫生学院劳动卫生与环境卫生学系在与慢性气道疾病相关的免疫调控、生物信息学、环境暴露与慢性气道疾病发病机制的基础研究中处于国际领先水平。

近年来的重要科研成果及贡献：牵头制定指南/专家共识4部，包括《慢性阻塞性肺疾病诊治指南(2013年修订版)》、《变应性支气管肺曲霉病诊治专家共识》、《慢性阻塞性肺疾病基层诊疗指南（实践版·2018）》、《慢性阻塞性肺疾病糖皮质激素规范管理专家共识（2021版）》，参与制定指南/专家共识20余部。近3年承担或参与慢性气道疾病国家级或省部级课题60余项，共发表SCI论文数174篇，获批专利15项。

Research Center for Chronic Airway Diseases, Peking University Health Science Center

Chronic airway diseases (COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, etc.) are among the most prevalent chronic diseases in China. To integrate the available resources of clinical and basic research institutions in Peking University, Peking University Health Science Center launched and established the “Research Center for Chronic Airway Disease, Peking University Health Science Center” on June 20, 2022, led by Peking University Third Hospital. Affiliated hospitals, teaching hospitals, School of Public Health and School of Basic Medicine of Peking University are members of the Center.

The research center focuses on the clinical diagnosis, treatment and scientific research of chronic airway diseases (COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis). Clinical research, basic research and translational research are integrated. The main research directions are: (1) the pathogenesis, phenotype and translation medicine research of chronic airway diseases; (2) constructing a new system of prevention, diagnosis, control, treatment and rehabilitation of chronic airway diseases, by combination of medicine and industry; (3) promotion and application of new technologies for interventional therapy of chronic airway diseases; (4) Development and application of pathogenic diagnostic techniques for chronic airway diseases. The research center is committed to expanding the depth and width of respiratory disease research, improving the clinical and research level of respiratory medicine, and promoting the translation of novel findings.

The Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, as one of the leading centers of respiratory medicine in China, has focused on chronic airway diseases for decades. The department has received a number of national grant supports for the study of COPD, and led multicenter studies on COPD. During the epidemic of COVID-19, the project "management standard of COPD during COVID-19 prevention and control" was approved by the Epidemic Prevention and Control Group of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. Experts have served as the coordinator and deputy coordinator of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Group of Chinese Thoracic Society (CTS), the deputy coordinator of the Pulmonary Function Group of CTS, the vice chairman of the China Grassroots Respiratory Disease Alliance, and the chairman of the Beijing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Alliance.

Peking University First Hospital and Peking University People's Hospital are the main participating institutions. They have undertaken a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects on chronic airway diseases. Their researches in the pathogenesis, biomarkers, management, and patient education of chronic airway diseases are among the top level in China.

The Department of Immunology and the Department of Medical Bioinformatics, School of Basic Medicine, and School of Public Health, Peking University, are members of the research center. They are well known for basic research on immune regulation, bioinformatics, environmental exposure and the pathogenesis of chronic airway diseases.

Experts of the research center has taken a leading role in the development of four guidelines/expert consensus, including the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (2013 Revision), the Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis, the Guidelines for the Grassroots Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Practice Version 2018), and the Expert Consensus on the Standardized Management of Glucocorticoids in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (2021 Version). In recent years, they have received more than 60 national or provincial research grants on chronic airway diseases, and published more than 170 papers on SCI journals.
