北京大学全球卫生研究院成立于2018年4月，首任院长为由时任北京大学副校长、医学部主任詹启敏院士担任。现任院长为北京大学公共卫生学院任明辉教授，副院长为公共卫生学院全球卫生学系主任许铭研究员。近年来，研究院以“改革创新、科学发展”为主线，增强学科内源创新能力与可持续发展能力，推进学科交叉，服务政府决策，实现了整体建设的全面、协调、可持续快速发展。

Institute for Global Health, Peking University

Peking University Institute of Global Health was established in April 2018. The first director was Academician Zhan Qimin, Vice President of Peking University and Director of the School of Medicine. The current director is Professor Ren Minghui of Peking University School of Public Health, and the deputy-director is Xu Ming, the director of Department of Global Health in the School of Public Health. With "reform and innovation, scientific development" as the main line, the Institute continuously optimises the overall layout of the discipline, enhances the endogenous innovation capability and sustainable development capability of the discipline, promotes interdisciplinary, serves the government decision-making, and realises the comprehensive, coordinated, and rapid development.

The Institute of Global Health of Peking University sets the benchmark for international first-class universities, focuses on conducting international leading and domestic first-class global health research, serving national major health diplomacy strategies, pushing forward, collaborating and striving to reach a new peak in global health. In recent years, the Institute has received grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology and a number of national key projects. It has published many papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, such as Lancet public health, Journal of global health, Glob Health Res Policy, China Health Policy Research. It has participated in the revision, development of guidelines, norms, standards, reported a number of special policy reports; a number of academic conferences and lectures related to global health have been organized.
