北京大学中西医结合研究所

   

  北京大学中西医结合研究所前身为北京医科大学中西医结合研究所,由我国著名中西医结合专家、中西医结合学会的发起人之一、首都国医名师谢竹藩教授于1987年牵头成立,并先后任所长、名誉所长。此后,中西医结合研究所同中医科、中西医结合科逐渐形成集科研、临床、教学为一体的多功能实体。鉴于在中西医结合工作中的示范引领作用,2014年在北京市中医管理局资助下,正式成立北京市中西医结合临床研究所,并由时任北京大学第一医院院长刘玉村担任所长,张学智担任常务副所长。

  研究所始终以解答中医药内涵、解决临床问题为出发点,坚持中西并重,围绕中医寒热证本质,中医名词术语标准化英译,老年病、消化疾病及内分泌代谢疾病中西医结合诊治,补肾防衰等领域开展一系列攻关。重点在寒热证的物质基础、寒热药性的物质基础、寒热证与典型脏腑的内在联系进行了由基础到应用的探索;在中医名词术语标准化英译、中医药国际交流中做出突出贡献;依托国家临床重点专科(中医专业老年病)对老年认知功能障碍、胃黏膜损伤性疾病、幽门螺杆菌感染相关疾病、糖尿病及血脂代谢异常等常见病牵头开展了临床及应用基础研究。从而形成了“溯本源”、“传岐黄”、“贯中西”的研究领域特色。

  北京大学中西医结合研究所、北京市中西医结合临床研究所依托北京大学第一医院,以中医中西医结合科、中西医结合研究室为主体,联合药剂科、消化内科、神经内科、统计室等优势学科,建立了以中西医结合为核心、中医药特长为优势、医教研全面协同的团队。研究所下辖幽门螺杆菌研究中心,汇集崔一民、王化虹、姚晨等各领域专家,成立了由多学科专家组成的学术委员会,组织机构设置完备。

  研究所实体包括中西医门诊、病房、实验室、教研室,设备总值240.652万元。近年来,先后获评中西医结合临床重点学科单位、国家临床重点专科(中医专业老年病)、国家中医药管理局全国综合医院中医药工作示范单位,并建立谢竹藩名老中医工作室。

  研究所近5年来获得各级课题近30项,包括国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目、青年项目,北京市自然科学基金面上项目,首都卫生发展科研专项重点攻关、自主创新、青年优才项目等,累计获批资金1200余万元;作为第一单位获得各级科技奖励12项。张学智教授获得“全国专科专病建设先进个人”、“强佑生命·中华医药贡献奖”,王学美教授获得“全国优秀科技工作者”荣誉称号。

  谢竹藩教授作为领军人物参与制定了世界卫生组织西太平洋地区传统医学名词术语国际标准,并连续出版多部英文著作。张学智教授通过寒热证-典型脏腑-经典疾病的模式进一步探讨了寒热辨证在消化性溃疡中的本质;并以病证结合为指导,创新性提出“幽门螺杆菌-炎症-湿热-疾病”的发病模式,并以此开展抗幽门螺杆菌中药研究,为临床提供了荆花胃康胶丸、清热化湿复方等中药,申请发明专利2项;起草制定《血脂异常中医诊疗标准(初稿)》《老年郁证中医临床路径和诊疗方案》。王学美教授团队揭示了加味五子衍宗方在认知功能障碍中的治疗机制,以补肾活血立法探究糖尿病及其并发症中医药治疗,获得发明专利授权4项。

  Peking University Institute of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine

 

  Peking University Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, which was formerly known as Beijing Medical University Institute of Integrative Medicine, was established in 1987, by Xie Zhufan, who was a well-known expert of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, one of the sponsors of Chinese and Western Medicine Association, and the famous teacher of Chinese medicine of the capital. Prof Xie was appointed Director from 1987 and the honorary director after retirement. The Institute of Integrative Medicine, together with the Chinese medicine department, integrated Chinese and Western medicine department, gradually formed a multi-functional entity with scientific research, clinical, and teaching tasks. Given the exemplary leading role in the integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine, in 2014, the Beijing Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine was formally established with the support of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was then headed by Liu Yucun, dean of the First Hospital of Peking University at that time, and Zhang Xuezhi served as executive deputy director.

  The Institute took a main purpose to solve clinical problems and explore the connotation of traditional Chinese medicine with emphasis on both Chinese and Western medicine. The institute also carried out a series of research around the essence of traditional Chinese medicine cold and heat syndrome, the standardization for TCM terminology translation, geriatrics, digestive diseases, diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic diseases with Integrative Medicine, and supplementing kidney to slow down aging. The research focuses on the exploration and application of material basis of cold and heat syndrome, the material basis of cold and heat medicinal properties, the internal relations between cold and heat syndrome and typical viscera, and makes outstanding contributions in the standardization of TCM terminology translation and Chinese medicine international exchange.

  Relying on the National Clinical Key Program (Geriatrics of Traditional Chinese Medicine), the institute took clinical and applied basic research on common diseases such as cognitive impairment in elderly, gastric mucosal injury, Helicobacter pylori infection-related diseases, diabetes and dyslipidemia. Therefore, the institute has formed the characteristics in the research field of "exploring originating source", "Inheriting Traditional Chinese medicine" and "governing a knowledge of both western and traditional Chinese medicine".

  Beijing Institute of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine and Peking University Institute of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine rely on Peking University First Hospital, combined with Pharmacy, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Statistics Office and other disciplines with advantages, with traditional Chinese and Western medicine department and Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine Laboratory as the main body, established a team with combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, Chinese medicine expertise as the core, and medical education research in full coordination. Helicobacter pylori Research Center, which is under the Institute, brings together Cui Yimin, Wang Huahong, Yao Chen and other experts in various fields, and set up academic committees composed by the multidisciplinary experts with a complete set of organizational structure.

  The Institute entities, including Chinese and Western medicine clinics, wards, laboratories, teaching and research room, has a total equipment value of 24,065,200 yuan. In recent years, the Institute has won the honors of clinical key discipline of integrated Chinese and Western medicine unit, the national key clinical specialist (TCM Geriatrics), the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine National Comprehensive Hospital of Chinese medicine demonstration unit, and established Professor Xie Zhufan’s medicine studio.

  The Institute has nearly 30 projects at all levels in recent five years, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the surface project, the youth project, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation surface project, the capital health development research key issues project, independent innovation project, youth Excellent talent project, with a total of 12 million yuan approved capital; and received 12 science and technology awards of all levels as the first unit. Professor Zhang Xuezhi was awarded the "Advanced Individual for National Specialist Disease Construction" and the "Award for the Chinese medicine contribution", Professor Wang Xuemei won the honorary title of "National Excellent Scientist and Worker".

  As a leading person, Professor Xie Zufan participated in the formulation of WHO international standards for traditional medical terminologies in the Western Pacific Region and published many consecutive English books. Professor Zhang Xuezhi further explored the essence of cold and heat syndromes in peptic ulcer by the pattern of cold and heat syndrome - typical organs - classic disease theory, and creatively proposed the pathogenesis of "Helicobacter pylori-inflammation-damp-heat disease" Model guided by the combination of disease and syndrome theory, and in order to carry out anti-Helicobacter pylori research of traditional Chinese medicine, and provided evidence for Jinghua weikang capsule and heat dampness formula, which won 2 invention patents; Prof. Zhang also participated in drafting the development of "dyslipidemia diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine standards (draft)" Chinese medicine clinical and diagnosis and treatment path and programs for Senile depression."Professor Wang Xuemei's team revealed the therapeutic mechanism of Jiawei Wuzi Yanzong Recipe in cognitive dysfunction. With the method of supplementing the kidney and promoting blood circulation, they explored the treatment of Chinese medicine for diabetes mellitus and its complications and obtained 4 invention patents.
