北京大学第一医院泌尿外科是我国泌尿外科的发源地，于1946年由吴阶平、谢元甫教授创建，是我国最早的国家重点学科。目前在郭应禄院士带领下，发挥医、教、研优势发展重点学科。医疗方面，拥有病床位121张，年均手术量3400台左右，综合应用内镜、微创、介入、显微外科、新型生物材料等新技术，提高诊断和治疗水平；教学方面，形成了本科生、研究生、进修生、继续教育、科学普及等多层次的教育培训机制；科研方面，创建了国家男生殖系肿瘤研究中心和医疗中心，以及北京市重点实验室；在已建立的泌尿系肿瘤、前列腺增生、男科学、间质性膀胱炎等多个研究领域，建立完善泌尿外科基础研究平台，促进基础研究向临床的快速转化。

　　泌尿男生殖系肿瘤、良性前列腺增生、男性生殖系疾病、泌尿系疾病前沿新技术（干细胞与组织工程）等几个突出的研究方向。

　　北京大学第一医院泌尿外科是我国泌尿外科的发源地。为进一步深入研究泌尿外科疾病，吴阶平院士早在20世纪60年代就在北京大学第一医院建立了泌尿外科研究室。在此基础上吴阶平院士、郭应禄院士等于1978年创建了中国第一个泌尿外科研究所北京大学泌尿外科研究所（以下简称泌尿所）。经过吴阶平、顾方六、郭应禄、那彦群等几代人的辛勤努力下，泌尿所在临床实践，科学研究，学科建设，基地建设，团队建设，人才培养，学术交流等方面都取得了令人瞩目的成绩，是我国最早的教育部国家重点学科的牵头单位，在北京市乃至全国的泌尿外科领域都有着举足轻重的地位。

　　近三年来，共获得课题项目33项，总经费2391.9万元，发表SCI论文107篇，其中最高影响因子为7.932。申请或授权专利33项。

　　The department of Urology of Peking University First Hospital, founded by professor Wu Jieping and Xie Yuanfu, is the birthplace of Chinese urology surgery and the earliest national key disciplines of china. Nowadays, this long-established  institution, leaded by academician Guo Yinglu, gives full play to the superiorityof clinic teaching and research, develops key discipline and creates more resplendence. On clinic, it has 121 beds and averaged 3400 surgical cases per year. The diagnosis and treatment level of kidney injury? have being? improve, by comprehensive application of endoscopic, minimally invasive and interventional surgery, microsurgery, new biological materials and other new technologies. On teaching, the institution has set up a  multi-levels system including undergraduate, postgraduate, visiting scholar, further education and popularization of sciences.  On science research, we established National Research Center for Genitourinary Oncology and key laboratory of Beijing. Based on the existing research fields, such as genitourinary oncology, prostatic hyperplasia, andrology, interstitial cystitis, a comprehensiveUrology  fundamental research platformhas been established and improved, which promotes the rapid transformation of basic research into the clinic.

　　There are several outstanding research directions in urology, such as male genitourinary oncology, benign prostatic hyperplasia, male reproductive system diseases, frontier technology of urinary system (stem cells and tissue engineering).

　　The department of Urology of Peking University First Hospital is the birthplace of Chinese urology surgery. In order to further study the disease in the urology, academician Wu Jieping established the urology research lab in Peking University First Hospital in 1960s. On this basis, in 1978, the first urology research Institute in China - Institute of Urology, Peking University, was built under the leadership of academician Wu Jieping. Through the efforts of several generations such as Wu Jieping, Gu Fangliu, Guo Yinglu, Na Yanqun and so on, the Institute of urology has made remarkable achievements in the urology clinical practice, scientific research, discipline construction, base construction, team building, personnel training, and academic exchange. It is the earliest lead unit of the National Key Disciplines of the Ministry of education, and has an important position in the field of urology surgery in Beijing and even the whole country.

　　In the past three years, 33 research projects have been obtained, with a total fund of 23 million 919 thousand yuan and 107 SCI papers, of which the highest impact factor is 7.932. 33 patents were authorized or applied.
