北京大学口腔智慧医疗技术研究中心

   

  为响应国家号召,推动健康中国、健康口腔战略的发展,促进口腔医学与信息学、人工智能大数据等领域的交叉创新研究,推进落实北大医学战略和北京大学口腔医学“双一流”学科建设,北京大学于2019年批复成立北京大学口腔智慧医疗技术研究中心。

  中心充分利用整合北京大学口腔医院的数据和专业资源优势,联合北京大学本部和医学部、清华大学及人工智能高科技公司,锁定国际人工智能大数据前沿领域,为口腔智慧医疗的规划和发展提供人才,数据及专业支撑,打造国际一流、国内领先、产学研一体的口腔智慧医疗平台。

  研究领域及方向

  口腔颌面部导航及手术辅助机器人技术平台研发:该平台旨在研发和应用手术导航系统、手术辅助机器人系统,重点解决人工智能的医学影像处理和自动化的手术规划、术中在线规划和实时三维导航、主动主从双模式微创手术辅助机器人的精准安全控制等核心技术问题,并推进产业化和临床应用,实现口腔颌面部多种疾病的可视化精确微创诊疗。

  口腔微型机器人牙体预备系统:本系统基于先进的微机器人技术、飞秒激光技术和数字化技术,在口腔狭小空间内,精准高效控制飞秒激光刀进行牙体的三维立体切削,以取代传统的依靠医生手眼配合、手工为患者牙体预备的临床治疗过程,并研究实时图像监控、高灵敏度位移传感器监测、等离子体光谱分析监控等机器人安全防范技术,以保障整个系统的安全运行。

  口腔医疗服务机器人系统:本系统主要研究集成多自由度夹持器的多自由度机械臂、机械臂移动载体、机械臂抓取识别模块、机械臂空间导航定位模块等相关技术,实现机械臂自动精准移动、识别、抓取等功能,并集成语音电子病人系统、专家设计系统等,辅助临床医生完成临床诊疗工作。

  基于智能语音的口腔电子病历采集系统:基于智能语音识别和语义理解技术,该系统将医生的声音数据转化为文字并从中识别出符合病历书写规则的医学相关信息。该系统根本上改变了医生记录病例的方式并大大提高了医疗文本撰写的准确性和效率。

  大数据驱动下基于人工智能的口腔临床决策支持系统:该系统将从检查,诊断,治疗计划制定等方面帮助医生更好地进行医疗决策。基于大量的医疗图像数据,化验报告,电子病历数据等,该系统运用机器学习算法,并整合医疗知识,用以生成更科学和令人信服的医疗决策。

  大数据驱动下基于人工智能的口腔临床技术研发:该方向集中探索与人工智能技术相结合的前沿口腔临床技术。热门的人工智能算法和模型可以使得传统的口腔临床技术更加高效便捷。

  智慧口腔专科医院管理体系建设:该体系的建设是为了解决大型口腔医院和机构的管理问题,比如大量患者的档案管理,就诊期间患者的信息保密,科学高效的患者预约安排、支付等。该体系将构建优化模型和框架用以解决上述管理问题,提高医疗服务质量。

  

  中心的依托单位北京大学口腔医院是一所集医疗、教学、科研、预防、保健为一体全面发展的大型口腔医院、口腔医学院和口腔医学研究机构,是中国与国际口腔医学界的重要沟通桥梁。医院拥有国家口腔疾病临床医学研究中心、医学领域第一家国家工程实验室——“口腔数字化医疗技术和材料国家工程实验室”、国家级口腔医学国际联合研究中心、国家级口腔医疗器械检验中心、国家口腔医疗质量控制中心、国家药物临床试验机构、国家药物临床试验机构等国家级平台或基地;还拥有北京市重点实验室、北京市国际科技合作基地等省部级科技研发平台。在2018“QS世界大学学科”排名中荣列口腔医学全球第15名,居中国境内第一名。

  中心拥有一批致力于智能口腔医疗研究的学者和学术带头人,包括长江特聘教授,国家杰出青年基金获得者、国家百千万人才、中组部万人计划人才、973计划首席科学家等。该团队负责确定科研方向,组织国际学术会议,解决研究中的关键科学问题。同时我们充分利用整合北京大学口腔医院的数据和专业资源优势,积极与全球高校及人工智能高科技公司开展合作研究。目前已经建立长期合作的高校及公司包括北京大学国际数学中心、北京大学健康医疗大数据研究中心、清华大学、北京航天航空大学和科大讯飞公司。

  中心已承担70余项国家及省部级科研项目,发表近500篇文章,授权26项发明专利,并获得6项国家及省级科学奖项。

  Peking University Research Center for Intelligent Stomatology

  

  Peking University Research Center for Intelligent Stomatology (PKURCIS) was approved to establish on 13th June, 2019 by Peking University. The purpose of the establishment is to promote the development of “Health China, Health Stomatology” strategy, encourage the innovative interdisciplinary researches between stomatology and other sciences and technologies, and implement Peking University Medical Strategy and World First Class Disciplinary Construction Strategy of Stomatology.

  

  Research Area

  Maxillofacial navigation guided and robot-assisted surgery platform

  The platform aims to develop and apply surgical navigation guided and robot assisted surgical system. We focus on solving core technical problems such as artificial intelligence medical image processing and automatic surgical planning, intraoperative online planned real-time three-dimensional navigation, and precise safety control of active/master-slave dual-mode minimally invasive surgical robot, and promote its industrialization and clinical application, to realize the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of various oral and maxillofacial diseases.

  Oral clinical automatic tooth preparing system based on mini robot

  Based on the advanced micro-robot technology, femtosecond laser technology and digital technology, this system can accurately and efficiently control femtosecond laser to perform three-dimensional ablating on teeth in oral narrow space, instead of traditional tooth preparing relying on hand-eye cooperation and manual handling. Its safety managements, such as real-time image monitoring, high-sensitivity displacement sensor monitoring, and plasma spectrum analysis, is being researched to ensure the safe operation of the entire system.

  Oral medical service robot system

  This system mainly studies multi-degree-of-freedom robot arm with multi-degree of freedom gripper, robot arm moving carrier, robot arm grabbing recognition module, robot arm space navigation positioning module and other related technologies, to realize automatic and precise movement, recognition, capture and other functions of robot arm. And it will integrate voice electronic patient system, expert design system, etc., to assist clinicians to complete clinical diagnosis and treatment.

  Voice recognition based electronic dental recording system

  With the techniques of intelligent voice recognition and semantic understanding, the system transfer doctors’ voice into words and select medical relevant information to obey medical record rules. The system essentially changes the way doctors record from typing to speaking and greatly improves the efficiency and precision in medical text recording.

  Big data driven and AI based clinical decision supporting system for stomatology

  The system intends to help doctors to make wiser decisions in examining, diagnosing, and making treatment plans. With large volumes of data in two dimensional and three-dimensional medical images, test results and electronic health records, the system implements machine learning algorithms with medical knowledge and constructs models to produce more convincible and scientific medical decisions. 

  Big data driven and AI based clinical technology researches for stomatology

  The research focuses on exploring advanced stomatological technologies with the development of AI techniques. The popular AI algorithms and models make traditional stomatological technologies more efficient and convenient.

  Intelligent medical management system for stomatological hospitals and institutes

  The system is to solve practical management issues in large stomatological hospitals and institutes (management of large amounts of patients, patient privacy during visits, scientific arrangement of appointments, and etc.). The system constructs optimization models and frameworks to address these problems for better health care. 

  

  Institutional Strength

  The foundation of PKURCIS was supported by Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology (PKU-SS or PKU-HS). PKU-SS is a large-scale hospital and institute integrating clinical service, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care. The hospital is in charge of numbers of research centers and laboratories, namely the National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases, National Engineering Laboratory for Digital and Material Technology of Stomatology, National Joint Research Center for Stomatology, National Dental Medical Device Testing Center, Beijing Key Laboratory and etc. PKU-HS offers abundant resources for the development of PKURCIS.

  Many senior scholars and academic leaders join in the center, including Changjiang Distinguished Professors, Chief Scientists of the 973 Program, National Outstanding Youth Fund winners, and so on. The group is responsible for the decision of research fields, arranging academic meetings, and solving key issues during researches.

  The center actively cooperates with universities, colleges, well-known laboratories, and high-tech companies worldwide. Till now the center has built connections with Peking University-Beijing International Mathematics Center, National Institute of Health Data Science at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beihang University and i-Flytech cooperation. The interdisciplinary cooperation will promote the development of PKURCIS in researches and industries.

  

  Team and achievements

  The center has achieved more than 70 national and municipal programs, published nearly 500 essays, obtained 26 granted patents,and achieved 6 national and municipal scientific rewards.
