北京大学中国卫生发展研究中心（以下简称中心）正式成立于2010年4月27日。其使命是通过开展高水平的学术研究以及催化和促进中国卫生政策和体系相关研究，为增进中国人民的健康做出贡献。主要领域包括开展高水平卫生政策和体系研究，培养高层次卫生人才，提供高质量卫生政策咨询服务，参与全球卫生政策发展。

　　中心致力于建设和培养一支国际水平的多学科研究队伍，自成立以来，积极引进教职人员，经过八年的成长和壮大，已形成了多学科相融合的研究团队。现有全职教职工8人，绝大多数研究人员具有多学科的研究背景和海外知名高校学习与工作经历。目前,孟庆跃教授任中心执行主任。

　　

　　中心的两大重点科研领域分别为：1）健康转型和决定因素；2）卫生政策和体系研究，包括卫生筹资、人力资源、服务提供等。主要围绕以下几个主题展开研究：1）卫生体系研究；2）卫生人力资源研究，包括卫生人员行为和激励机制、卫生人员吸引和保留等；3）卫生不平等研究。中心通过明确研究问题、提高研究质量、加强政策影响，确立了在国内相应领域的独特地位。研究资金来源于国家自然科学基金、国家卫生计生委、工程院、国家科技部、世界卫生组织、中华医学基金会、英国政府(DFID/MRC)、欧盟等，共计2300余万元。8年来，中心研究人员在The Lancet、WHO bulletin等国际知名杂志发表研究论文70余篇，出版了《转型中的中国体系》、《Strengthening health systems in China》系列文章集等重要书籍,在国内外引起了广泛关注和影响。

　　

 

　　The Peking University China Center for Health Development Studies (CCHDS) was established on 27^th April, 2010. Its mission is to promoting China’s health policy and system researches by conducting high-level academic studies, and to improving people’s health in China. The main activities include: carrying out important health policy and systems research, training senior health professionals, providing high-quality health policy advisory services, and participating in global health policy development.

　　Since the establishment of the CCHDS, we have tried our best to attract the qualified personnel. After more than eight years’ growth and expansion, a talent team has been formed. It has eight full-time staff, most of them have multidisciplinary background and overseas experience in well-known colleges and universities. Currently, the CCHDS has Professor Meng, Qingyue as the Executive Director.

 

　　The two core research areas of the CCHDS: 1) transition and determinants of health; and 2) health policy and system research, including health financing, human resources for health, health delivery, etc. The CCHDS has conducted services mainly around three themes: 1) health system research; 2) human resources for health, including health workers’ behaviors and the incentive mechanisms, attraction and retention of health workers, etc.; 3) health inequity research. The CCHDS has established the unique position in above relevant research areas in China, through specifying research questions, improving research quality, and strengthening policy effects.

 

　　The CCHDS has obtained funds from National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Health and Family Planning Committee, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ministry of Science and Technology, the WHO, the CMB, DFID/MRC, European Union, etc. The total amount of funding is approximately more than 23 million Chinese RMB Yuan. During the eight-year period, the staff has published more 70 English papers in journals, such as the Lancet, WHO bulletin. Meanwhile the CCHDS has published many crucial books including Report on Health Systems in Transition (China HiT),Strengthening Health Systems in China(A Series of articles published in International Journal for Equity in Health) , and has attracted lots of attentions in China and abroad.
